Tipes of assistance

 

IFAD-funded Programmes envisage specific advisory activities for each of its projects depending on scope and objectives thereof. Thus,

The Agricultural Revitalisation Project , focused on community-driven approach, implies community capacity mobilisation through training and technical assistance provision for: (i) understanding and implementation of the Project strategy; and (ii) elaboration and implementation of the Village/community Development Plans (VDPs). VDPs are elaborated for those localities that applied for participation in the Project.

Also, technical assistance and training is being provided and to the potential Project Beneficiaries. That includes training provision and in the field of business plans elaboration, accounting and financial management as well as credit management procedures.

The project offers free of charge to credit applicantsadvisory services on elaboration of business plans through service providers accredited under the Project. .

The Rural Business Development Programme also provides consultancy aimed to set up or enhance flow of private capital towards private SMEs. Thus,

Rural-based enterprises can benefit from advisory services against payment on elaboration of business plans through service providers accredited under the Programme. While, credit applicants requesting up to USD 20 thsnd benefit from the support amounting to USD 200 for business plans development.

At the same time, Equity Intermediation Services sub-component implies support through the Service providers to mid-size enterprises development through: (i) preparation of strategic investment plans and other services provision aimed to attract direct investments from private sector; and (ii) Technical Assistance and Training

While, Collateral Development and Training sub-component foresees provision of specialised technical assistance and training to facilitate development of new forms of collateral.

Another direction of consultancy service provision is aimed to provide support to applicants in preparation of their proposals to obtain grants related to the investment projects in economically-derived infrastructure under the Market Derived Infrastructure Programme Component.
